Dr. Shubeck saved my dog's life! My 5y/o Wheaten Terrier (Cubbie) has been an athlete from the day she was able to leave her mom. She proved that one day as she stumbled down the slope of my back yard as a young pup & didn't miss a beat as she rolled a few times back to her feet and kept running. She grew to become extremely agile, fast, playful, loving, curious, obedient, energetic, smart, & simply a super dog. One quality she always possessed was that of being stoic! Physical pain never seem to bother her, whether it was an accidental tumble or a full series of shots from the vet. Well, about 3 weeks ago, she came in with her older brother for breakfast acting a bit odd. When it was time to eat, normally she was like a vacuum... This particular morning, she sat at attention waiting for her food & I had to coerce her for the first time ever to eat. Ultimately, throughout the day she just didn't seem to be "right" & that night she vomited several times. Dr Shubeck saw her the next morning & later that day we got word that the initial diagnosis was pointing towards renal failure & pancreatitis, among other things. Dr Shubeck treated her over the coming weeks but couldn't precisely pinpoint exactly what the underlying condition was. Over the first two weeks, Cub's diagnosis was a bit of an enigma but Dr Shubeck continued to press forward with her care, not resting for a moment until she knew why Cub's conditions presented. Ultimately she discovered that Cubbie has Addison's Disease.
I was sooooo impressed that Dr. Shubeck spent so much time investigating the underlying cause of Cub's symptoms while treating her exactly on target for the symptoms of Addison's Disease, before we even knew she had this condition. Dr Shu continued the course of treatment, added a couple of meds and 4 weeks later Cub is getting back to her old self again. I thought she was going to die as the first couple of weeks she was so lethargic, listless, and non-interactive. Thank you Dr Shubeck for saving Cub & for caring so much about your animals. You are the best Vet we could possibly have and I simply wanted to thank you for the care you gave Cub & for the on-going heartfelt passionate care you give to the animal community. You Rock Dr Shu, You ROCK!!! :)

I have known Dr. Shubeck for approximately 22 years. Other than saying that Dr. Shubeck is the best of the best, what more can one say after all of these years.
